MARINA OPORTA

Marina Oporta was born in Nicaragua, Central America. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a specialization in Psychology and Child Development at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 2005. She received her Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner in 2009 and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL in 2011. Before joining Soma Medical Center, P.A., she worked at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, as a registered nurse in the pediatric emergency room. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, and is certified by the AANP. Mariana Oporta is licensed to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of Florida.  Marina is passionate about newborn care and the impacts of reading from birth, to provide care and education to pediatric patients and their parents. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and attending sporting events with her husband and children.
